Great DJ (Calvin Harris Remix)

If you follow the indie music scene, you've undoubtedly heard That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings by now. And this time around, cutie Calvin Harris has taken hold of their new single Great DJ with a funky remix that leaves you shimmy-shaking long after the song has ended.

Weight of the World

Big thanks to my buddy who sent me this one. Patrick Watson is a unique blend of folk, alt rock and baroque pop that paints images of tragedy in whimsical ways. This song comes from the band's appropriately titled '06 album Close to Paradise.

Happy Coachella!

My favorite holiday is back! I thought it might be fun to dig in the old memory bag and reminisce. See you this weekend!

A New Sky / Far Away

The cool kids over at Modular really know how to deliver pop music. These two songs are my current favorites from The Presets and Cut Copy's newest releases. 1988 meets 2008!

Kim & Jessie

After hearing the song Teen Angst about a year ago, I fell in love. Then somehow along the way I completely forgot about the magic of M83, until recently. I got word that he's releasing a new album, and from what I've heard so far - it's nothing short of spectacular! Today's download is the latest from the new LP Saturdays = Youth.

She's Madonna (Kris Menace Dub)

I've had this one on repeat for the last week. Kris Menace serves up french house flair with synthy bells and dreamy atmospherics perfect for late nights.

Girl That Speaks No Words + Infadels Mash-Ups

Still can't get enough of those Alan Braxe/Fred Falke remixes, and today's pick is certainly no exception. I also stumbled across a couple Infadels mash-up's, taking on some of Mister Medley's faaaavorite artists! Go shake your thumpa thumpa!

End It Tonight

I've had this one for awhile, and it's really addictive and overplayed on my iTunes so I was inspired to share it with those who haven't yet had the pleasure of Teenagers In Tokyo.  They give Australian pop some of the edge that their musical peers lack (NYPC, CSS, not that we're naming names or anything...)

Mykonos / White Winter Hymnal

Fleet Foxes, Ruiner of Worlds describes their music as baroque harmonic pop jams. I say that's fancy talk for folk pop, but their entitled to that sense of individuality because they really do stand out on the scene. I'm getting into this semi-rebirth of classic rock meets folk thing, so check it out if you're into Midlake and the like.
