11h30

Maybe you recall my post about Danger a while back, in which I told Kavinsky he better watch his back... but if for some reason you missed it, I've got another track 10 times hotter than the last. Prepare to dance your face off!

I Always Say Yes

Got this awesome remix in my inbox recently from Baron von Luxxury. He called his remix of Glass Candy's I Always Say Yes, "a blend of Schoenberg's serialism meets the Cocteau Twins via Crystal Castles." Sold me!

Whether you're a Glass Candy fan or not, this is one I think most will enjoy. Parts II and II are available for download right here, but if you want to hear the complete 5-part 19 minute remix that took Mr. Luxxury 9 months to perfect, you might have to wait a little longer... I'm not even sure if it's actually finished yet!

Kittin Is High

Gotta love Miss Kittin. I don't really feel like there's a need for explanation. She still drives that same signature sound, but with new material, which certainly isn't a bad thing!

Opal

I picked up Donnacha Costello's Colorseries the other day, and I will admit the store's description as this being minimal techno kind of put me off. But I bought the CD anyway because the cover on the sleeve looks like a graphic I'd like to have on my t-shirt. Surprisingly enough, I welcomed this one with open arms to my collection.

Donnachacostello

I'm starting to notice this slow uprise in the 90's techno/rave sound, and by george, I'm not opposed to it!

Kept Low / Hold On

Like you didn't already know Cut Copy is awesome. Today's tracks are both related to their brilliance, the first being Holy Ghost's! Hold On, which was featured as the opening track on their latest mix. In addition, they did a fabulous job remixing Kept Low by Mercy Arms. If you haven't already listened to the stream of their new song Lights and Music, do it!

A Mountain For President

Tigersushi is the record label I've been drooling over lately. Once again, they blew me out of the water with Principles of Geometry. Yeah, they're following the analog trend and finishing up songs like A Mountain for President with synth stabs, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they have a really solid sound that ventures into a much darker story than many comparable electronic acts these days.

Carrie-Anne / Stay Day And Night

Like I always say, the Swedes know music. Rocca is a pop duo who should be topping pop charts worldwide right now. For some reason today's download entitled Carrie-Anne brings to mind images of a poorly edited YouTube tribute to Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. But the music! Oh the music, something amazing is brewing with these boys two (boy AND girl - thanks Joan!), from the rockin' guitar solos to late 80's synths. I've had the chorus to Stay Day and Night in my head for days.

Bandwidth Notice!

I've had a lot of issues with FileDen lately. A sudden spurt in traffic has caused me to run out of bandwidth for the mp3 downloads in a matter of 2 weeks, when it used to take at least a month. Being unable to upgrade my file host (I had the most expensive account they had), I've decided to quit throwing money on a shitty service and go the free route for now.

Though you would normally right-click + save the mp3 files for download, now you gotta left-click the link and download through MediaFire's website directly. Kind of a pain in the ass, I know, but it's better than our previous issue of not being able to download at all!

So far, there hasn't been an assload of advertisements infiltrating my computer screen like you would find at ZShare, so I think I'll stick with this host for awhile...

Ninja of Love

I love Freezepop. I've been a fan since 2002 after discovering Science Genius Girl on mp3.com (ha, remember that?).

Freezepop

It's been a slow and steady progression for the trio, but with each release, you can tell they are taking things a bit more serious musically, while maintaining the same robotic (and often funny) delivery. Oh Freezepop, just when we thought you couldn't be anymore fantastic, you light our smiles with the infectious Future Future Future Perfect!
